Agarose
Agarose is a natural extract from agar. Chemically it consists of long chains of agarose molecules from which the agaropectin has been removed. Agarose makes excellent transparent gels. It has a very high hysteresis making it ideal for separation techniques used in electrophoretic and chromatographic applications in the fields of molecular biology and biochemistry.
Agarose is completely neutral and free from contaminants, which allows its use in sophisticated and sensitive recovery procedures of DNA and proteins.
Iberose is available for use in routine applications, such as nucleic acid analysis by gel electrophoresis. This agarose has a standard gelling/melting temperature with high gel strength, thus it is also compatible with blotting techniques.
